SOL-R-SKIN Fire-Resistant and Reflective Underlayment
SOL-R-SKIN, manufactured by International Insulation Products, offers a combination of reflectivity for energy efficiency as well as fire resistance. Tested beneath many roofing materials to be part of a Class A roof assembly, SOL-R-SKIN helps protect homes from fire and other weather elements while reducing energy usage.
SOL-R-SKIN consists of a layer of 99% scrim-reinforced aluminum laminated to a layer of fiberglass which in turn is bonded to synthetic roofing underlayment. This product helps meet new energy and fire codes and can be used beneath asphalt shingles, tile, and metal roofing.
